If you want to know all these things, you have to visit Bait Al-Baranda museum. Bait Al-Baranda is a private museum which has an unsurpassed collection of Oman's postal history. It opened on 16th December 2006, the name of this building literally translates as "Villa with a Verandah". It is situated after the port roundabout, on the right side just before the fish roundabout on the Muttrah corniche. It is administered by  Muscat Municipality.
